How to Get Verified

There are two ways to complete Business Verification:
  1. Bring Your Own Carrier (BYOC):
    If you’re using your own Twilio or Telnyx account, you can manage verification yourself via the carrier dashboard. Learn more on our BYOC setup page.
  2. Thoughtly-Managed (Flex & Enterprise only):
    If you’re on a Flex or Enterprise plan, our team handles everything for you — free of charge. When you first sign up, you’ll receive an email from us requesting the required information. Just reply to that email, and we’ll submit all carrier paperwork on your behalf.

What Is SHAKEN/STIR?

SHAKEN/STIR is a protocol that verifies the authenticity of a phone call’s origin. When enabled, it reduces the chance your calls are flagged as spam or spoofed.

What Is CNAM?

CNAM (Caller Name) allows your business name to appear on recipients’ phones when you call them. This improves trust and pickup rates.

What Is A2P 10DLC?

A2P 10DLC is a U.S. compliance framework for sending business SMS via local phone numbers. All SMS campaigns in the U.S. must be registered with carriers to avoid filtering and ensure deliverability.

Need branded numbers in international markets? Let us know when you reply to your verification email, and we’ll include that in our carrier submission.
